HD Mechanics – Flexi Parts & Mining Services Location: WesTrac Perth Airport Branch

Are you passionate about working on Caterpillar equipment and other OEM components? Flexi Parts & Mining Services is seeking HD Mechanics to join our dynamic team at WesTrac’s operations located at our Perth Airport facility.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you'll have the opportunity to enhance your skills in powertrain overhauls, machine dismantling and rebuilds, undercarriage repairs, and radiator repairs—all within our state-of-the-art, all-in-one branch.

Department Overview: Flexi Parts & Mining Services specialise in powertrain overhauls, machine dismantling and rebuilds, radiator overhauling services, and undercarriage repairs. Providing ongoing support to both WesTrac and our customers our team is dedicated to providing a high-quality service, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of heavy mining equipment.

Roster: 5 On, 2 Off – 10 hrs/day OR 4 On, 3 Off – 12 hrs/day

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Complete rebuilds and overhauls on Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment and non-Caterpillar machinery.
  • Work in a collaborative, team environment with a strong focus on safety.
  • Bolster your experience with a reputable brand while maintaining a work-life balance.
  • Adapt your working hours to suit your personal needs in the Flexi Parts workshop

 

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Australian-recognised Trade Certificate.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Good understanding of service reporting and service literature.
  • Heavy equipment product knowledge, with component change-out and overhaul experience (Desired)
  • Strong alignment with WesTrac’s SPARC values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect, and Customer.
  • Experience in completing rebuilds and overhauls on Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment.
