Reporting into the Operations Supervisor, the Parts Interpreter will join our Parts and Logistics team on a full-time basis at our Perth Branch. This role is responsible for providing a high level of technical product advice to key stakeholders, interpreting parts and customer needs, the sale of and expediting of parts, and fielding general enquiries. You will be a highly motivated and proactive individual who thrives in a challenging fast paced role and is passionate about customer experience.

 

Roster:  1st week – Mon – Fri (7am – 6pm) Saturday (7am – 1pm)

            2nd week – Tues – Fri (7am – 6pm)

 

Location: Perth Branch, WA

 

What you’ll do:

  • Interpret customer needs and provide technical advice on a wide range of parts for vehicles, trucks, machinery, and construction equipment
  • Source and expedite parts locally and internationally, ensuring timely and accurate fulfilment from order through to delivery
  • Manage customer enquiries through walk-ins, phone calls, and emails with a strong focus on delivering a high-quality customer experience
  • Support internal departments including the workshop, field service teams, and sectors like marine, earthmoving, and construction at the Perth branch
  • Coordinate across seven store locations, maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and responsiveness in a high-demand environment
  • Escalate issues appropriately and ensure consistent communication to prevent delays or errors
  • Maintain a proactive, dependable approach, demonstrating strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in parts interpretation, inventory control, or store roles within the automotive or machinery industry
  • Strong background in parts identification, particularly for vehicles, trucks, or heavy equipment
  • Familiarity with automotive service environments, ideally gained from prior roles in car dealerships or similar settings
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to confidently manage face-to-face, phone, and email interactions
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when sourcing and matching parts
  • Solid organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
  • Advanced computer literacy and the ability to quickly adapt to multiple systems (experience working across various platforms or databases is highly valued)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to managing customer and internal stakeholder needs
