The Field Service Technician will assist customers with repairs, engine background diagnostics, troubleshooting, and servicing. Our team has the facilities, mobile trucks, personnel and experience required to service any medium-to-high-speed marine diesel engine or generator set in WA. As Caterpilar authorised dealer, all our technician are put through factory training to Caterpillar standards. Combine this experience with our unrivalled global Cat parts network and there isn’t a service provider WA that could look after Cat engine better than WesTrac. You will work with the latest technology and help redefine industry standards. You'll be out in the field, with a focus on diagnosis, repair and maintenance of top-of-the-line engines and gen sets, ensuring our customers' operations run smoothly. This also includes to 4-8 weeks of working away a year.

 

Location:  Perth Branch – Airport Location

Roster: Variety of roster options 

 

To be successful the following is required: 

  • Relevant Trade Certificate – Plant/Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • 2 years post trade experience
  • Previous Marine Experience
  • Previous experience with large engines and small engines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
  • Ability to communicate technical requirements with customers
  • Caterpillar equipment knowledge
  • Drivers licence – MR or above highly desirable
  • Industrial and/or marine engine experience is desired.
