Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the skilled and qualified Leading Hand Plant Mechanic will be responsible for, leading a team to success in the new machines department to ensure delivery dates and deadlines are met. You will be working on Caterpillar building and construction equipment, performing a variety of tasks. These can include dealer provided option installations, maintenance and build ups to customers specification ensuring optimum safety and efficiency throughout the entire build.

 

Location: Perth Airport – New Machines Construction


Rosters: 8 days on, 6 days off, 12 hours each day
 

To be successful the following is required: 

  • Previous leadership experience working in a similar position
  • Australian-recognised Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant Trade Certificate
  • Previous experience working on heavy, civil and construction size earthmoving equipment
  • Ability to work well under pressure while having a good safety aptitude
  • Excellent time management, punctuality and communication skills
  • Strong diagnostic skills are recommended
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
