Customer Support Manager

Are you a driven self-starter with a passion for machinery, sales, and building strong customer relationships? This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact as a Metro-based Customer Support Manager (CSM), supporting a portfolio of strategically important construction customers across the Perth Metro and Northwest region of WA.
As a trusted partner to your customers, you'll take ownership of aftermarket support, identify opportunities to grow parts and service sales, and help customers maximise equipment uptime while achieving the lowest possible total cost of ownership. Success in this role is built on relationships, so you'll spend regular time on-site with customers, gaining a deep understanding of their operations and delivering tailored solutions that keep their businesses running at peak performance.
Roster: Monday – Friday 8.5H
What You’ll Do:
- Own Your Territory: Manage customer accounts with a structured, proactive approach.
- Drive Sales Success: Work with customers and internal teams to deliver solutions, from everyday consumables to complete machine rebuilds.
- Stay Connected: Build strong relationships and keep engagement consistent through smart coverage plans.
- Keep It Accurate: Maintain CRM data to support forecasting and reporting.
- Be the Go-To Person: Act as the link between customers and WesTrac/Caterpillar experts.
- Solve Problems Fast: Step in to resolve technical, operational, or financial challenges.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong technical understanding of machinery components and mining equipment, or a genuine passion and willingness to develop expertise in this area.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and act on business opportunities.
- Sound knowledge of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modelling for heavy mining equipment.
- Proven communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Highly motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work autonomously while building strong collaborative relationships across teams.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the capacity to manage fluctuating workloads and competing priorities to meet tight deadlines.
