Reporting to the General Manager, the Business Unit Manager – Flexi Parts is accountable for achieving Sales and Net profit targets, developing the strategic direction/growth strategies outside the traditional revenue opportunities within WesTrac through providing the Mining Industry with a range of repair and parts options.  

 

The role involves purchasing used equipment for dismantling and procuring surplus new and used components and parts from the Domestic and International marketplace, connecting with our customers creating strong business relationships and responsible for managing the Marketing, Sales and Inventory of acquired stock.

 

Working with the Area Manager, the role is accountable for safety within Flexi Parts & Mining Services including the workshop and warehouse facilities, managing the customer relationship, sales performance and strategic growth, whilst providing supervision and leadership to the team members within their allocated area to ensure safety, quality and efficiency are of the highest standard resulting in exceptional customer satisfaction.

 

Integral to this position is the requirement to effectively manage sales growth by working closely with our customers and the sales and operations team to ensure all opportunities and solutions are delivered on.

 

Location: Flexi Parts, Perth Precinct

Roster: Monday to Friday – 8 hours/day (Permanent, Full-Time)

 

To be successful the following is required: 

 

  • Minimum 10 years post qualification experience and a minimum of 5 years industry related experience
  • 5 - 7 years management and leadership experience as a people leader of high performing sales teams
  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree / MBA (Marketing and Management or similar) - Enrolled, Commenced or Obtained
  • Ability to build rapport to function as a coach / mentor to their team
  • Mining Industry / Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) experience (CAT, Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr)
  • Demonstrated Machine Product knowledge including used equipment and component values, inventory management
  • Strong knowledge of business drivers, customer needs, managing financial outcomes and commercial processes and systems
  • Demonstrate strong Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working in a dynamic work environment and demonstrate the ability to juggle conflicting priorities
  • Aptitude for thinking strategically and analytically
