About the Role

Reporting to the FlexiParts Supervisor, the Boilermaker will join our workshop team at the Perth Airport Precinct. You will work across a diverse range of heavy equipment components and fabricated structures essential to mining operations.

This hands‑on role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, safe work practices, and producing high‑quality fabrication and welding outcomes.

Roster Options:

  • 5 days on, 2 days off  – 10 hours per day
  • 4 days on, 3 days off  - 12 hours per day 
  • 5 days on, 2 days off - 2 weeks of day shift 2 weeks of night shift 10 hours per day

 

What You’ll Do

You will contribute to the fabrication, repair, and refurbishment of major mining machine components, including:

  • Using your fabrication and welding expertise to deliver reliable, high‑quality repairs that extend component life
  • Fabricating transport stands for machine components
  • Performing Arc Air gouging and Flux Core welding
  • Refurbishing large earthmoving components such as blades, sticks, and fuel tanks
  • Machine dismantling & rebuilds
  • Powertrain overhauls
  • Radiator overhauls
  • Undercarriage repairs
  • Applying exceptional attention to detail with a strong safety focus

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Trade Qualification – Boilermaker/Welder
  • High Risk Work Licence – Forklift, Dogging (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong fabrication skills & ability to interpret technical drawings (highly desired)
  • Experience with heavy equipment component repairs (advantageous)
  • Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship
  • Experience with FCAW / MIG / TIG welding (advantageous)
  • Exposure to CAT® mining equipment (highly regarded)
