Reporting into the Workshop Supervisor, the Plant Mechanic will join our Murrin Murrin Branch on a Full Time Basis. This role involves supporting all Caterpillar products within the surrounding Murrin areas.

The Murrin Murrin branch provides top-tier machinery solutions and support that cater to the evolving needs of the mining industry. Our expert team is focused on delivering innovative, reliable, and efficient Caterpillar equipment to maximize productivity and ensure operational safety.
 
Roster options: FIFO 7 days, 7 nights, 7 off – 12.5 hrs (inc. 30 mins unpaid break)

What You’ll Do: 
•     Support WesTrac’s customers equipment in the surrounding areas.
•     Working well within a team to manage and complete high volume tasks efficiently.
•     Promote, encourage and monitor safety to a high standard whilst undertaking all tasks.
•     Perform scheduled and daily maintenance servicing and inspections of heavy mobile mining earthmoving and     
      ancillary plant equipment.
 
Skills & Experience: 
•     Australian recognised Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate.
•     Experience with diagnostic and fault-finding.
•     Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in an efficient manner.
•     Previous experience working on Caterpillar products.
•     Strive to assist the Customer to achieve machine availability and reliability KPI’s.
