Reporting into the Group Manager Welshpool and PSG, the Contract Manager – Murrin Murrin will lead WesTrac’s onsite team of ~40 people at Murrin Murrin mine site located in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. The role involves partnering with our customer to safely and sustainably achieve the lowest total cost of ownership for their Caterpillar mining equipment.

 

This full-time role requires demonstrated leadership experience at a mid to senior manager level with the ability to further enhance the team’s positive culture and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at various levels and organisations to deliver on the customers mine plan.

 

This is a fly in fly out (FIFO) role working 12-hour shifts on 4 days on 3 days off roster. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, with fly-out on Monday morning and return on Thursday night. The position offers competitive pay.

Location: FIFO from Perth to Murrin Murrin

 

What you’ll do:

  • Participate in and lead daily, weekly and monthly customer meetings to monitor performance of the team, safety, fleet, plan compliance etc.
  • Collaborate with the customer to understand the mine plan and develop maintenance plans that deliver the required outcome..
  • Manage and mentor onsite team, fostering a high performing culture..
  • Innovate by adopting industry best practices to enhance site operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects that drive safety, efficiency and improved team member engagement.
  • Partner with other OEMs and stakeholders on site to deliver an unrivalled customer experience.     

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of asset management.
  • Proven people leadership management experience with the ability to develop high performing teams.
  • Experience in with Maintenance Planning and condition monitoring to optimise fleet performance.
  • Ability to collaborate with customers and stakeholders to create impactful solutions.
  • Proficiency in reliability analysis
  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. DMAIC, LEAN).  
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a senior supervisory leadership role
