Reporting into the Contract Manager, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining and optimising the short and long-term maintenance strategy for the Murrin Murrin site, in line with the budget and contractual obligations as set out in the contract document.

 

Roster:  8 Days on, 6 Days off 12.5 hours per day (including unpaid meal breaks)

Location: FIFO ex Perth to Murrin Murrin

 

What you’ll do:

  • Develops and maintains the long-term maintenance strategy for the site, aligning with contractual obligations and budgetary requirements
  • Forecasts long-term component needs and communicates these with stakeholders including the WesTrac Parts Exchange Supervisor, Contract Manager, Contract Supervisor and Client Representatives.
  • Coordinates resource planning to ensure sufficient parts and staffing are available to support upcoming maintenance activities
  • Performs short-term scheduling tasks (up to two weeks ahead)
  • Optimises maintenance planning processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Ensures clear and timely communication with all relevant stakeholders to maintain alignment and execution of the maintenance strategy

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Over 5 years' experience in maintenance planning, with strong mechanical aptitude and quick grasp of technical concepts
  • Proficient in AMT or similar asset management systems, with intermediate-level computer literacy (MS Office, internet applications)
  • Strong communicator with excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical thinking, problem solving, and negotiation in dynamic environments
  • Sound understanding of financial principles, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Highly organised with attention to detail, advanced time management and planning skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team
