We’re seeking a Contract Supervisor to join our team at Murrin Murrin. As the 2IC, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, compliance with the MARC (Maintenance and Repair Contracts agreement).

The Contract Supervisor provides leadership to the team members within their allocated area to ensure safety, quality and efficiency are of the highest standard resulting in exceptional customer satisfaction. 

In the case that no WIP Coordinator is allocated on site, the Contract Supervisor is responsible for the effective and efficient management of WIP and may delegate tasks as appropriate.

 

This is a permanent full-time opportunity on a FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee work order invoicing ensuring costs are allocated to the correct accounts in line with Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and minimum contract variance account movement (2875 account) is achieved
  • Oversee work order process ensuring purchase orders and approvals are received from the customers for all non-contract work prior to work commencement (e.g. accident damage, wear and special items etc.)
  • Warranty claims are managed effectively and efficiently and no claims are rejected
  • Contract Workshop expenses are managed appropriately
  • Oversee condition monitoring activities ensuring all are carried out correctly including, but not limited to, performance tests, Wear Trends Filter Inspections and machine inspections
  • Monitor the performance of team members to ensure objectives are met through a variety of forums – monthly 1:1’s, coaching and formal performance reviews.
  • Proactively identify processes within the MARC site that would benefit from improvements and recommend the appropriate action
  • Promote continuous improvement and the utilisation of Caterpillar Production System (CPS) within the MARC team.

To be successful the following is required:

  • Trade certificate (Mechanical or Electrical) with significant post-qualification experience OR tertiary qualification in a business-related field, coupled with experience in mobile equipment and supervisory experience.
  • Proven people management skills.
  • On-site experience with workplace health and safety knowledge.
  • Customer service excellence.
  • Intermediate computer literacy (MS Office, internet applications).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team player with advanced time management skills.
  • Experience with Caterpillar equipment and a Project management background is seen as highly desirable.
