About the Role

Due to our continued operational growth, WesTrac has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Asset Reliability Specialist/Engineer to join our Mining Support Team as a Site Performance Specialist, based onsite at Moolarben Coal. Moolarben Coal mine is Australia's largest thermal coal producer, featuring both Underground and Open cut operations, located in the beautiful Mudgee area.

 

Reporting to the Mining Support Manager, you will play a crucial role in maximising our customer's return on their CAT fleet investments. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support, offering advice on equipment optimisation, and analysing fleet performance data to drive improvements in overall asset performance.

 

As a driven and skilled Site Performance Specialist, you will possess strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills. You will thrive in dynamic environments and be passionate about continuous improvement in mining operations.

This role is offered as a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday, with the option to relocate to the Mudgee region.

 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with our key client.
  • Utilise fleet performance data to enhance asset performance.
  • Conduct wear management inspections and generate necessary reports.
  • Collaborate with the client to swiftly resolve unplanned downtime.
  • Review and recommend improvements for maintenance and operational practices.
  • Troubleshoot equipment faults and provide effective solutions.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a Mechanical Trade Certificate.
  • Familiarity with CAT systems like DBS, SIS, ET, SIMSi, and TMI is a big plus.
  • A current C Class Driver’s License.
  • Great people skills with a strong background in customer service and relationship management.
  • Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting equipment issues and finding effective solutions.
  • Comfortable working alone or with a team.
  • Excellent at staying organised and juggling multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in analysing asset health and performance data, and generating detailed reports
  • A strong safety mindset, focused on maintaining safety and following safety protocols.
