Drill Fitter & Hydraulic Mining Mechanic - Field Service

About the role

WesTrac Mudgee are looking for experienced Drill technicians and Hydraulic Mining technicians to join our Field Service team based from Moolarben Coal Mine. This positions will be responsible for looking after a drill fleet of MD6250 CAT drills and 6060 Face Shovel.
Camp accommodation and meals may be available upon request for candidates whom do not live in location. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and make recommendations to improve fleet performance 
  • Diagnosis, repairs and maintenance on the fleet
  • Repairs and maintenance on machine electrical systems
  • Offer technical support for the Caterpillar fleet
  • Offer mechanical support to WesTrac and customer technicians
  • Undertake workshop and field based – machine service or repair as instructed by the customer

 

Skills & Experience

  • CERT III Heavy Vehicle / Mobile Plant Qualification
  • Post-trade experience in a similar role including on mine sites
  • Experience with surface mine drills
  • Caterpillar/Bucyrus product knowledge and maintenance experience
  • Strong communication skills and dedication to safe work practices
  • Excellent diagnostic and repair skills and a strong commitment to service excellence

 

Roster and Rem

7x7 roster  - Even time roster

Hourly rate from $64.11 OT rate from $96.17

This rates includes allowances
