Our workshop is dedicated to repairing and maintaining Caterpillar equipment to keep our customer’s machines performing at their best. This role will see you leveraging your mechanical expertise to drive smooth workshop operations, lead a skilled team of tradespeople, and play a key part in shaping our growth and expanding our teams’ capabilities

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of tradespeople, ensuring work is allocated to meet project timelines.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and performance.
- Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with reporting processes.
- Provide guidance and technical advice to avoid delays and maintain quality standards.
- Manage work orders effectively to meet productivity and quality targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Oversee labour allocation for internal employees and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with the Area Manager to drive team growth and workshop capability.
Skills & Experience
- Mechanical or Auto Electrical trade qualification with significant post-trade experience (Australian recognised)
- Experience with mobile plant maintenance essential
- Experience in component rebuilds highly regarded
- Strong Computer Literacy Skills (including MS Office Suite, SAP)
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise fluctuating workloads and delegate effectively
- Demonstrated ability to coach team members for high performance
- Values based approach to leadership with a demonstrated commitment to safety
- Experience with CAT SIS desirable
