Workshop Supervisor – Mt Thorley (Day Shift, Mon–Fri)
Lead a high‑performing rebuild workshop and go home for dinner every day

Own the day‑to‑day of our Mt Thorley Machine Rebuilds Workshop, leading a skilled crew rebuilding large CAT mobile plant. You’ll step off the tools into a people‑first leadership role that values safety, planning and coaching — on a set Monday–Friday, day‑shift roster for real work–life balance.

What’s on offer

  • $110,000.00 – $141,000.00 base + super + allowances (This salary range is a guide only and will be assessed on a casebycase basis in line with candidate skills, experience, and suitability).

What you’ll lead

  • Safe, efficient workshop operations across machine overhauls and component rebuilds
  • Workforce planning & job allocation across trades, apprentices and TAs
  • Work order management (quality, cost, schedule), reporting and continuous improvement
  • Vendor coordination and parts/workflow readiness with the project team
  • Coaching, performance, and safety culture that sets the standard 

 

What you bring (must‑haves)

  • Trade‑qualified (Mechanical or Auto‑Electrical) with mobile plant background
  • Proven team‑lead/supervisory experience in heavy equipment or component rebuilds
  • Confident with MS Office & SAP (or similar), strong planning & delegation
  • Safety‑led, values‑based leadership and coaching mindset

 

Great to have

  • CAT product knowledge and SIS experience
  • Exposure to mining clients and rebuild program scheduling
