WesTrac is seeking experienced Auto Electricians to join our Mt Thorley Workshop.

With a key focus on machine rebuilds, our workshop completes overhauls for customers throughout the Hunter Valley giving our successful candidate the opportunity to work on a large variety of CAT machines. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your extensive experience will enable you to diagnose electrical issues, troubleshoot errors, and conduct repairs to ensure optimal machine performance and reliability. With a strong focus on safety, you will bring a drive and motivation to succeed in delivering high-quality work.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing electronic diagnostics and identifying faults
  • Assembling and installing electrical and electronic systems on CAT machinery
  • Applying your extensive CAT knowledge to solve problems autonomously
  • Setting a leadership standard by living our values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect & Customer
  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment

Roster & Remuneration

  • 2 weeks dayshift, 2 weeks nightshift
  • Potential earnings from $143,000 - $170,000

*Rates above are a guide only; each candidate will be assessed based on competencies and experience*

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Cert III Automotive Electrical Technology (essential)
  • Previous mining experience
  • Sound working knowledge of Caterpillar equipment is highly regarded
  • Ability to work autonomously if required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills, with a commitment to meeting customer requirements
