About the Opportunity

WesTrac | Mt Thorley Rebuilds Workshop (Hunter Valley)

 

Join our Mt Thorley Rebuilds Workshop and be part of a highly skilled team delivering industryleading CAT machine rebuilds to worldclass standards. Youll own the full rebuild lifecyclefrom teardown to commissioningensuring every machine leaves safe, reliable, and ready for peak performance

 

  • $60/hr+ (incl. location/shift allowances) + OT rates, paid fortnightly
  • Lifestyle roster, mix of day & night 12.5hr shifts, 5 wks annual leave – WORK ONLY HALF A YEAR!
  • Workshopbased OEM rebuilds on CAT fleets, modern facility, stable team

 

What you’ll do

  • Strip downs, rebuilds and reassembly of CAT equipment & major components
  • Inspections/diagnostics and quality checks through the rebuild lifecycle
  • Scheduled maintenance and adjustments to meet timelines & customer specs
  • Keep a clean, safe, organised workshop; collaborate with Supervisor & peers

 

What you’ll bring

  • Australian‑recognised mechanical trade (e.g., Cert III HD Plant)
  • Proven rebuilds/major component overhaul/assembly experience
  • CAT or comparable surface mining gear; strong diagnostics/fault‑finding
  • Proactive, safety‑first mindset; unrestricted driver’s licence
