Mining Support Representative | Mount Thorley


Our Mining Sales team is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Mining Support Representative to join us on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday from our Mount Thorley Branch.

Reporting to the Mining Support Manager, you will provide direct support to one of WesTrac’s major accounts in the Hunter Valley region. Your primary focus will be identifying and capitalizing on product sales opportunities, which will be uncovered through the analysis of equipment performance and key operational projects. Success in this role will rely on your ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, gaining a deep understanding of their business drivers to ensure aftermarket share and revenue targets are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage in the identification and capturing of aftermarket sales opportunities to provide solutions according to customer needs
  • Oversee customer account management to ensure sales opportunities are captured whilst regularly reporting on customer fleet performance
  • Support key projects to ensure positive customer experience
  • Maintain and forecast data for sales opportunities leading to the execution of aftermarket sales strategies
  • Collaborate with Site Performance Specialists to support fleet performance and improvement opportunities
  • Engage in continuous improvement to identify potential opportunities within the business


Skills & Experience

  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets within a customer facing role
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to develop strong positive relationships with customers
  • Ability to problem solve whilst having well-developed analytical & negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work successfully in a team & individually, whilst developing strong working relationships
  • Advanced computer literacy skills – MS Office
