About the Opportunity
As the market leader of equipment solutions in the mining industry, WesTrac is focused on continuing to provide a best-in-class customer experience. In this newly created role in our Resource Industries division, the Corporate and Major Accounts Manager will be accountable for maintaining relationships with key customers and managing the accounts within a designated portfolio to provide outstanding customer experience and grow market share.
Reporting to the Resource Industries Business Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing tailored strategies for customers regarding equipment, technology, and aftermarket services. You will focus on delivering value through capital equipment and technology solutions, increasing market share, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience, all in support of WesTrac’s sales and growth targets.
This is a full-time role with the option to be based from Mt Thorley or Tomago. You will be required to travel regularly to customer sites and corporate offices across NSW with occasional interstate travel as well.
Key Accountabilities

Develop and execute sales strategies to meet customer requirements and deliver on sales targets

Negotiation and sales for capital equipment and technology solutions

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and Caterpillar to deliver exceptional customer outcomes

Provide regular reports including sales forecasts to allow for effective operational planning

Proactively identify business development opportunities within relevant markets

Lead continuous improvement initiatives
About You
-
Strong negotiation and influencing abilities coupled with developed commercial acumen
-
Demonstrated key account management experience with proven track record of results
-
Outstanding interpersonal skills
-
In depth understanding of environmental, economic and operational factors that influence customer decision making
-
Demonstrated sales skillset with ability to increase market share and drive conversion
-
Familiarity with Caterpillar Equipment combined with a sound understanding of heavy mining equipment and total cost of ownership

Ability to coach others for high performance and manage teams in changing environments
-
Tertiary qualifications in business and/ or mechanical trade background will be looked upon favourably

High level of computer literacy
