Are you a Plant Mechanic or Heay Diesel Mechanic with extensive component experience? Join our Mt Thorley Workshop, where we specilise in the repair and rebuild of CAT mining and general construction equipment.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for the quick and efficient repair of components. Focusing on safety and customer satisfaction, you will utilise your mechanical expertise to identify faults and administer repairs within a quick turn time. During periods when there are no components to repair, you will work closely with our team to perform mid-life rebuilds.

This is an excellent opportunity for those wanting to grow into a Field Service position.

Roster and Remuneration

• Monday – Friday (rotating days/nights)
• 2 weeks of days, followed by 2 weeks of nights
• Day shift: 0600 - 1630
• Night shift: 1600 - 0230
• Annual earnings up to $180,000*

*Please note: the rates above are a guide only and each candidate will be assessed based on competencies and previous experience.

What we're looking for

As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills:

• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or mechanical trade qualification with heavy industry experience
• Experience rebuilding mobile mining equipment and / or components essential
• Unrestricted Drivers Licence
• Familiarity with Caterpillar surface mining equipment (desirable)
• Solutions focused mindset and ability to adapt to changing requirements 
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
• Close attention to detail and ability to perform tasks to meet Caterpillar quality standards
• Team oriented with proven ability to meet set deadlines
