Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical drawings, executing repair and fabrication work to a high standard, and ensuring a safety-first approach to everything you do. Our successful candidates will have strong attention to detail, be reliable, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Roster & Remuneration
- 50-hour week rotating roster
- 2 weeks day shift / 2 weeks night shift
- Day Shift: 6:00am – 4:30pm
- Night Shift: 4:30pm – 2:00am
- Annual earnings from $149,000 + overtime + super*
Rates above are a guide only. Each candidate will be assessed based on their competencies and experience within the role.
What we’re looking for
- Cert III in Engineering – Fabrication (Australian Trade recognised)
- Extensive experience in air arc gouging, lancing and OXY/thermal processes including cutting, heating and thermal lancing
- Ability to interpret engineering and detailed fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
- Experience performing welding techniques including, but not limited to, GMAW and FCAW (multiple wire applications)
- Ability to successfully pass AS1554.1 weld tests across the above techniques
- Mobile plant repair experience highly regarded
- Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
- Safety-focused mindset with a proactive approach to hazard identification and risk management
