Plant Mechanic - Field Service - Karratha

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor the well-versed Field Service Plant Mechanic will assist in the diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing of Caterpillar products. Your responsibility will involve visiting customer sites throughout the Karratha Region, carrying out repairs, maintenance and servicing and managing work orders. You will be required to carry out product improvement plans and product support programs whilst maintaining and operating in a safe work environment.  

 

Roster: 

FIFO from Perth or interstate 

12/9 (12 days on, 9 off) 12 hrs each day, plus 30 mins break

2/1 (14 days on, 7 off) 12 hrs each day, plus 30 mins break

10/4 (10 days on, 4 off) 10 hrs each day, plus 30 mins break *residential only*

Housing package maybe offered for a suitable applicant.

 

Location: Karratha

 

To be successful the following is required: 

 

  • Australian recognised Heavy-Duty Trade Certificate with post trade field service experience.
  • Extensive diagnostic and fault-finding skill.
  • Ability to work and seek out work opportunities without direct supervision.
  • Strive to assist the customer to achieve machine availability. 
  • Previous Dealership experience.
  • Driver’s License as well as LR or HR preferred.
  • HRWL (i.e. LF, DG, WP).
  • Working at Heights.
  • Refrigerant Handling License (Preferred but not essential).
