Reporting into Parts Supervisor, the Store Person will join our Warehouse team on a permanent basis at our Kalgoorlie branch. This role involves covering basic store duties and be responsible for the accurate and efficient interpreting, picking, packing and despatch of customer parts orders with the primary objective of providing customers with the best service possible. This is a residential based role.


Department Overview: Our Kalgoorlie team provide Cat machinery solutions to suit any earthmoving business including both new and used equipment sales, heavy equipment rental, as well as parts, servicing and merchandise.

 


Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off – 12 hours/day (including meal break)

 


What You’ll Do:

  • General Warehousing duties
  • Loading/Unloading trucks & moving parts with a forklift within the racking system 
  • Stock checking and Inventory Control 
  • Repairing of minor parts and reconciliation of parts 
  • Usage of Radio Frequency Scanners
  • Processing orders and sourcing vendor items
  • Handle orders for parts, repairs and calibrations
  • Safety compliance for tooling equipment
  • Log repairs and maintenance using WesTrac systems
  • Maintain workshop assets and ensure QC control
  • Plan and ensure operational equipment for jobs
  • Inspection of remanufactured parts according to CAT criteria

 

 


Skills & Experience:

  • Forklift Ticket (High Risk LF) is essential
  • Previous experience in a similar role will guide you to success
  • Positive attitude with great attention to detail
  • Computer literacy - inclusive of MS Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
