Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Serviceperson will play a key part in the support to various trades on site to ensure the smooth flow when servicing of our Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment. The work involved will consist of mainly workshop tasks but will also be expected to drive a service truck to and from the pit providing mobile service repairs on the machines, predominantly CAT 793’s and 785’s.

 

This work will be completed in a collaborative, team environment with a strong focus on safety. Full training will be provided to the right applicant. This is not a FIFO position but must be locally based in the region.
 

Location: Kalgoorlie (residential position)

 

Roster: 7 days on, 3 off, 7 nights, 4 off – 12 hours inc. of 30 mins break

 

To be successful the following is required: 

 

  • Experience in refuelling dump trucks & all mine site and ancillary equipment
  • Supporting and assisting trades to execute remedial and improvement work.
  • Assisting other team members as instructed by Supervisor
  • Operation of tools and equipment
  • Carrying out operational tasks
  • Adhering to all safety requirements as per company and site standards
  • Acton tasks in line with environmental policies
  • Be well aligned and exhibit WesTrac’s SPARC values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect and Customer

 

Tickets to fulfill the role:

 

  • Clean Heavy Vehicle Driver License – MR or HR Truck license
  • Forklift License (desirable) 
  • Working at Heights  
  • Confined Spaces - desirable
  • Dogging  
  • Rigging
