Plant Mechanic - Kalgoorlie Residential

Your new role as Plant Mechanic will be based in the Kalgoorlie Branch reporting to the Workshop Supervisor.

 

Location: Kalgoorlie
 

Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off 11.5-hour day (Inclusive of 30min meal break)
 

What you'll do:

  • Maintaining and repairing Caterpillar products that are brought into the workshop at our Kalgoorlie branch

  • Carrying out repairs, maintenance and servicing and managing work orders.

  • Carry out Caterpillar product improvement plans and product support programs whilst maintaining and operating in a safe work environment.  

 

Skills & Experience

  • Australian recognised Heavy-Duty Trade Certificate with post trade experience

  • Extensive diagnostic and fault-finding skills

  • Ability to work and seek out work opportunities without continuous direct supervision.

  • Competent in use of DBS and SIS desirable

  • Ability to work effectively within a team and have a strong commitment to continuous improvement principles.

  • Strive to assist the Customer to achieve machine availability and reliability KPI’s

  • Previous mechanical experience working on Caterpillar products.

  • Dogging ticket desirable
