Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the well-versed Heavy-Duty Plant Mechanic will assist in the diagnosing, maintaining and repairing Caterpillar products. Your responsibilities will involve carrying out repairs, maintenance and servicing and managing work orders. You will be required to carry out product improvement plans and product support programs whilst maintaining and operating in a safe work environment.

Some Caterpillar equipment you will be exposed will include but not limited to CAT 785C, 793F, 994K ,18M, D10T2, 854K and 972M’s.

 

Location: KCGM – 18 kilometres Northeast of Kalgoorlie.

 

Roster: 7 days, 3 off, 7 nights, 4 off.  12-hour shifts (Residential only)

WesTrac will look at relocation options for interested interstate applicants.

 

To be successful the following is required:

 

  • Australian recognised Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate with post trade experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Have a strong passion for quality of work & continuous improvement principles
  • Previous mechanical experience working on Caterpillar products desirable but not essential
