Plant Mechanic - KCGM - Residential

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the well versed Heavy Duty Plant Mechanic will assist in the diagnosing, maintaining and repairing Caterpillar products. Your responsibilities will involve carrying out repairs, maintenance and servicing and managing work orders. You will be required to carry out product improvement plans and product support programs whilst maintaining and operating in a safe work environment.

Equipment you will be working on includes;

Caterpillar 785C , 793F, 994K ,18M , D10T2 , 854K , 972M

 

Location: There are currently multiple positions available at KCGM!

Roster: 7 days, 3 off, 7 nights, 4 off.  12 hour shifts (Residential only)

       

WesTrac will look at relocation options for interested interstate applicants.

 

To be successful the following is required:

  • Australian recognised Heavy-Duty Trade Certificate with post trade experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines
  • Work well within a team
  • Have a strong passion for quality of work & continuous improvement principles
  • Previous mechanical experience working on Caterpillar products desirable but not essential
