Plant Mechanic - Field Service

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, the Field Service Plant Mechanic will be responsible for, but not limited to carrying out warranty and customer repairs on a range of CAT machinery and associated products in a timely and efficient manner. This is a customer facing role, you will be required to offer support and advice, as well as carry out maintenance on the customer fleet.

About Kalgoorlie

Our Field Service team in Kalgoorlie assist in repairing and maintaining Caterpillar equipment from large mining machinery including underground, whilst strengthening ongoing relationships with multiple customers.  

Location: Kalgoorlie and surrounding Goldfields region.

Roster Options:
 

10 days on 4 days off - 10hrs paid plus 30 mins unpaid break 
14 days on 7 off - 10hrs paid plus 30 mins unpaid break
FIFO and Residential options

To be successful the following is required:

  • Australian recognised Heavy Mobile Plant Technology Trade Certificate or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in an isolated and remote environment
  • Extensive diagnostic and fault-finding skills through CAT SIS & CAT ET
  • Previous port trade Caterpillar experience in a field service environment
  • Demonstrated strong safety values
  • Ability to organise work teams and delegate tasks’
  • Extensive diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Must have a forklift ticket
  • Must have a minimum LR Drivers Licence
  • Caterpillar knowledge and maintenance experience
