Parts Interpreter

Reporting to the Parts Supervisor, the Parts Interpreter will join out Kalgoorlie branch on a full-time basis and is accountable for receiving customer orders for Caterpillar parts and general enquiries via phone, email and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of processing for continued customer loyalty. This role has a strong focus on customer service, as such we are looking for someone who has a positive, can-do attitude and strong attention to detail and quality and compliance skills.

Roster: 9DO 5DO 11.5 hours (including meal break)

Location: Kalgoorlie, WA - Residential position

 

What you’ll do:

 

· Interpret customer part requirements on a wide range of parts for trucks, machinery, construction and mining equipment

· Source and expedite parts locally and internationally, ensuring timely and accurate fulfilment from order through to delivery

· Manage customer enquiries through walk-ins, phone calls, and emails with a strong focus on delivering a high-quality customer experience

· Support internal departments including the workshop, field service teams

· Escalate issues appropriately and ensure consistent communication to prevent delays or errors

· Maintain a proactive, dependable approach, demonstrating strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure

 

Skills and Experience:

 

· Previous experience in parts interpretation or store roles within the automotive or machinery industry highly advantageous

· Excellent customer service skills with the ability to confidently manage face-to-face, phone, and email interactions

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when sourcing and matching parts

· Solid organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, high-volume setting

· Advanced computer literacy and the ability to quickly adapt to multiple systems (experience working across various platforms or databases is highly valued)

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to managing customer and internal stakeholder needs
