Maintenance Manager

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Workshop Manager will join our Westrac operations team on a Full-Time basis at our Kalgoorlie KCGM site. This role involves daily reviewing and managing the on-site operations whilst maintaining and growing key stakeholder relations.

 

Roster – 8 days on 6 days off Days, 12.5 Hrs (Including unpaid meal break) dayshift only

Location – Kalgoorlie KCGM

 

What You'll Do:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support effective operations.
  • Lead by example in all safety matters, promoting safe behaviours and ensuring efficient and accurate reporting processes.
  • Implement and review work order management practices to meet productivity targets and uphold quality standards.
  • Maintain positive customer engagement through clear communication and consistent on‑site reporting.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to enhance processes, increase efficiency, and support business performance in line with the WesTrac strategic plan.
  • Monitor contractual and business compliance, working closely with the Contract Manager to ensure all obligations are met.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Trade qualification or strong mechanical aptitude, supported by more than five years’ experience in a senior leadership role, including knowledge of Section 26 statutory supervisor requirements.
  • Proven ability to build high‑performing teams and deliver exceptional customer service, with a strong understanding of effective people and customer management.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the capability to manage fluctuating workloads and prioritise tasks to meet operational demands.
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships across all levels.
  • Intermediate computer literacy (including Microsoft Office) and solid business acumen.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and negotiation skills to effectively resolve workplace issues and customer disputes.
