Reporting to the Branch Manager - Kalgoorlie, the Customer Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining short and long-term operational plans, managing work orders, coordinating resources, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. This role combines customer engagement, operational planning, financial accountability, and continuous improvement to support business performance and growth.
Location: Kalgoorlie Branch – residential role
Roster: Monday – Friday 8.5 hours (including meal break)
Responsibilities in the role:
- Act as the primary customer contact, providing updates, technical guidance, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout repair and rebuild activities.
- Coordinate and manage work orders, including planning, quotations, approvals, scope changes, warranty claims, and cost control.
- Monitor Work in Progress (WIP) to ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in line with customer expectations.
- Collaborate with workshop teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to align resources, resolve issues, and support operational requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement, forecasting, reporting, and accurate invoicing to enhance operational efficiency, cost recovery, and business performance.
About you:
- Proven experience in a planning, coordination, or operational support role within mining, heavy industry, construction, or a similar environment.
- Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and delivering business outcomes.
- High attention to detail, strong commercial awareness, and confidence working with operational and financial data.
- Relevant trade or tertiary qualification is desirable, along with industry experience in a safety-focused environment.
Qualifications (desirable):
- Relevant trade qualification or tertiary qualification in a mechanical, electrical, electronic, or related discipline.
- Previous experience in customer coordination, administration, scheduling, planning, operations support, service advising, or a similar role.
