Reporting to the Group Manager, Regional Operations WA, the Branch Manager is accountable for overseeing the financial and operational performance of the allocated branch operation, including the management of the customer relationship, whilst providing supervision and leadership to the team members within their allocated area to ensure safety, quality and efficiency are of the highest standard resulting in exceptional customer satisfaction. Integral to this position is the requirement to effectively manage the ‘profit centre’ of the branch by working closely with the sales team to ensure sales leads and generation are proactively sourced and actioned.

 

This position comes with growth prospects and development opportunities including the opportunity to advance into an Operation’s Manager role (regional or metro). We offer a highly competitive salary package ranging from $215,000 to $240,000, plus a Sales Target Incentive Plan (STIP) that provides lucrative performance-based bonuses. Additionally, the role includes a 4x2 house with a pool, shed, 2-bay garage, air conditioning in the living areas, and evaporative cooling throughout, plus all utilities and bills are covered.

 

Location: Kalgoorlie Branch

Roster: Monday – Friday 5/2 - 8hrs / day (Permanent, Full-Time)

 

To be successful the following is required: 

 

  • Trade Qualified with a strong foundation in trade skills or relevant engineering qualifications.
  • Minimum of 2 years people management experience, leading teams of 20 or more.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Caterpillar or similar heavy mobile equipment
  • Proficiency in handling underground machinery, including CRC (Continuous Miner) and full machine rebuilds (highly advantageous).
  • Understanding of OEM specifications and components.
  • Ability to manage budgets, analyse financial data, and make informed decisions.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work towards Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on achieving both people-oriented and task-related goals.
  • Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Advanced communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal
  • Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines
