Auto Electrician

Reporting into the Workshop Supervisor, the Auto Electrician will carry out warranty and customer repairs and installation on a range of CAT machinery and associated products in a timely and efficient manner.
With a diverse team and skill set you will have to maintain high focus on all safety aspects complying with WesTrac’s and our customers policies and procedures.
This work will be completed in a collaborative, team environment with a same end goal approach.
About Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines (KCGM):
WesTrac KCGM, located in the Goldfields in Kalgoorlie, partners with Northern Star for maintenance. Our team handles mobile workshop and on-site repairs for a large machine fleet, performing servicing, planned shuts, and minor repairs.
Roster:
Residential – 7 days, 3 off, 7nights, 4 off – 12 hrs each day (inclusive of 30 mins unpaid break)
FIFO – 7 days, 7 nights, 7 off – 11.5 hrs each day (inclusive of 30 mins unpaid break)
What You’ll Do:
• Perform scheduled and daily maintenance servicing and inspections of mobile mining earthmoving and ancillary plant equipment.
• Providing support to our Tradespersons through the maintenance process safely and efficiently.
• Report faults/defects and complete service reports using CAT Inspect.
• Forklift operation as required.
• Implement product improvement plan.
Skills & Experience:
• Australian Drivers Licence – Light Rigid OR Medium Rigid.
• Australian recognised Heavy Mobile Plant trade certificate with post trade experience.
• High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (FL), Dogging (DG), Rigging (RG), Working at Heights (WAH), Confined Spaces (CSE).
• Strong computer literacy with verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in maintenance servicing of heavy equipment (mobile plant / ancillary).
• Excellent customer service and safety focused.
• Confident to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team.
