Warranty Officer

Reporting to the Warranty Manager, the Warranty Officer will join our Warranty Operations team on a full-time basis at our South Guildford Service Centre. This role involves managing and processing warranty claims to maximise financial recovery, ensuring compliance with Caterpillar warranty policies and procedures, and providing expert support to internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and resolving claim issues, driving timely claim outcomes, delivering warranty guidance and training, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities that enhance operational efficiency and business performance, while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and compliance standards.
Department Overview: WA Warranty Support is part of the WesTrac Sales and Operations Division - Located within the Guildford Service Centre
Roster – 5 Days – Mon-Fri, 8.5 Hrs/Day
What You'll Do:
- Claims Processing: Accurately process warranty and service letter claims to maximise cost recovery and ensure policy compliance.
- Claims Recovery: Review and resubmit denied or pending claims to achieve the best financial outcome.
- Stakeholder Support: Provide guidance and support to internal teams on warranty processes and claim requirements.
- Warranty Expertise: Maintain knowledge of warranty programs, products, services, and administration systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and claim success rates.
Skills & Experience:
- Warranty Claims Experience – Proven experience processing, reviewing, and managing warranty claims to maximise recovery and ensure policy compliance.
- Customer Service & Stakeholder Management – Strong ability to build relationships and provide responsive support to internal and external customers.
- Attention to Detail – High level of accuracy when reviewing documentation, validating claims, and maintaining records.
- Problem Solving & Analytical Skills – Ability to investigate claim issues, resolve disputes, and identify opportunities to improve recovery outcomes.
- Communication & Influencing Skills – Ability to clearly explain warranty requirements, provide training, and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Time Management & Prioritisation – Ability to manage multiple claims and competing deadlines while maintaining quality and service standards.
