Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Trade Assistant will be working alongside our Tradespeople to assist with maintenance and minor repairs of equipment and machinery. Within in our New Machines department, the Trade Assistant will be responsible for but not limited to; cleaning of components, operation of moving components and light mechanical work where needed. Attention to detail and to work autonomously is a crucial part of the role.
Location: Guildford
Roster: 5 Days, 2Off (Mon-Fri), 10.5H shifts (inclusive of a 30min Break)
To be successful the following is required:
- Proven experience of Trade Assistant work is essential
- Forklift License is essential with Dogging highly desired
- Caterpillar Dealership and engine overhaul experience - highly advantageous
- Good attitude with a strong work ethic
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous use of safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's will guide you to success in this role
