Lead with Passion - Technical Services Manager

 

Reporting to the Group Manager - Client Solutions, the Technical Services Manager will join our Client Solutions team on a full-time basis in our South Guildford Service Centre. This influential leadership role offers the opportunity to lead a highly skilled team of technical specialists while driving exceptional customer outcomes across our business. Working closely with customers, internal stakeholders, and Caterpillar partners, you will play a pivotal role in solving complex challenges, shaping continuous improvement initiatives, and developing a high-performing team culture built on collaboration, innovation, and growth.

 

Department Overview: Client Solutions – Technical Services - Act as a liaison between the dealership and Caterpillar on product issues, contributing to interim and permanent containment actions.

Roster – 5 Days, Mon – Fri 8.5 Hrs/Day (Including Meal Break)

 

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and empower a team of technical specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and professional growth.
  • Champion exceptional customer outcomes by guiding the timely resolution of complex equipment and product challenges across the business.
  • Serve as a trusted partner and key connection point between WesTrac, Caterpillar, and customers to drive effective solutions and long-term product improvements.
  • Provide strategic technical leadership and coaching, supporting teams to navigate complex issues and deliver high-quality technical support.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement by leveraging data, technology, and emerging insights to enhance technical support processes and customer value.
  • Build strong, influential relationships across the organisation and industry, working collaboratively to improve product performance and create positive business outcomes.

 

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams, creating an environment where people can thrive and succeed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate complex information into practical solutions and meaningful outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a talent for building trusted relationships and influencing across diverse groups.
  • Experience using equipment management systems, machine data, and technology-driven insights to improve customer outcomes and business performance.
