Technical Communicator

Reporting into Technical Service Supervisor, the Technical Communicator will join our team on a Full-Time basis at our Guildford Branch. This role involves providing technical support by assisting with troubleshooting complex machine faults and providing repair advice. They will engage with various stakeholders to restore product functionality in a timely manner. Working with a team of 16 Technical Communicators, you will join a highly collaborative environment.

Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5 hours/day (including meal break)

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting complex machine faults
  • Provide clear, practical repair advice to technicians and stakeholders
  • Engage with customers, management, service teams, product support and engineering
  • Work collaboratively to restore product functionality with minimal downtime
  • Support investigations as required to resolve challenging technical issues
  • Product Improvement initiatives with various stakeholders

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanic, Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic, or Automotive Electrical Technician
  • Post-trade experience with proven ability to interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Strong understanding of safe working practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed diagnostic and problem-solving capability
  • High attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to mentor others and share knowledge within the team
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel at short notice, when required
