Technical Communicator

Reporting into Technical Services Manager, the Technical Communicator will join our Technical Services on a Full-Time, Permanent basis at our South Guildford location.
This role involves providing technical support by assisting with troubleshooting complex machine faults and providing repair advice.
Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5 hours/day (including meal break)
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with troubleshooting complex machine faults
- Provide repair advice
- Engage with various stakeholders including customers, management, product support and engineering teams, and the service department
- Restore product functionality with a quick turnaround time
Skills & Experience:
- Trade qualified as a Mechanic, Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic, or Automotive Electrical Technician
- Post-trade experience with proven ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Safe working practices knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and continuous improvement
- Intermediate computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to mentor and work both in a team and independently
- Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice should it be required
- Technical/product knowledge of Caterpillar equipment (Desired)
