WesTrac is looking for a dedicated Trainer in our Simulated Work Environment to support the talents of participants enrolled in the prestigious WesTrac Apprenticeship Program.

 

Location: South Guildford, WA

Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5-hour days

 

What You'll Do:

  • Coach and Develop: Guide apprentices through their technical trade development, ensuring they meet required standards and embody WesTrac’s Core Values.
  • Safety First: Create a safe training environment, aligning all activities with WesTrac’s safety requirements.
  • Hands-On Training: Collaborate with Pre-Trade trainers and subject matter experts to develop engaging on-the-job training sessions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Apprentice Manager, Program Specialist, and Lead to deliver top-notch technical induction programs.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Trade qualification in Mobile Plant Maintenance or equivalent, coupled with post-trade industry experience
  • Previous experience working with apprentices and a willingness to support their learning journey
  • Experience in servicing or operating equipment, with Caterpillar equipment knowledge being a plus
  • Willingness to obtain an Assessor Skill Set qualification if not already held
  • Ability to clearly convey technical information and instructions to apprentices
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and adjusting training methods to meet the needs of different learners
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks, maintaining training schedules, and ensuring all documentation is up-to-date
