Reporting into the IT Network Engineer Lead, the Senior Network Engineer will join our IT Department on a full-time basis at our South Guildford, WA location.
 

This role involves maintaining the current communications infrastructure while actively contributing to enhancement projects and initiatives across a wide-reaching distributed network.

 

This position is accountable for architectural design support, implementation, security, and the ongoing management of the WesTrac networking environment.

 

Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5 hours/day (including meal break)

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain and enhance WesTrac’s distributed network and communications infrastructure
  • Design, implement, and secure network solutions using Cisco and Palo Alto technologies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across multiple locations
  • Collaborate with Cyber Security and IT teams to ensure compliance and performance
  • Provide technical guidance and documentation for projects and operations

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT with CCNP/CCIE or similar certifications
  • Strong background in network design, implementation, and support
  • Proven experience with Cisco technologies and voice systems
  • Skilled in configuring Cisco Routers, Switches, WLCs, ISE, DNA, and Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Proficient in IP, VLAN, QoS, BGP, OSPF, and switching/routing protocols
  • Solid knowledge of DNS, DHCP, AD, SSO, and NAC
  • Hands-on experience with implementing and maintaining SDWAN and SDA.
  • Experience supporting multi-site networks and working with vendors
  • Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in teams
