Plant Mechanic – WesTrac Caterpillar Dealership

What You’ll Do:

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in rebuilding and repairing Caterpillar powertrain components. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Disassembly, inspection, and assembly of major components such as transmissions and final drives.
  • Diagnosing faults and performing repairs to ensure optimal performance.

Location: South Guildford
Roster: 
Monday to Friday 2 weeks day shift, 2 weeks night shift -10.5-hour days

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Australian-recognised trade certificate (Light Vehicle, Heavy Duty, Bus & Truck Mechanics)
  • Dogging and forklift tickets (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience with Caterpillar components and dealership work (highly desirable)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols (JSA, Take 5)
