Plant Mechanic - Large Engines

Reporting into the Workshop Supervisor, the Plant Mechanic will join our Large Engines department on a Full Time basis at our South Guildford Location. This role involves assisting in the rebuilding and repair of Large Engines. You will be responsible for the disassembly, inspection, and assembly of engine components, ensuring that all tasks are performed to the highest standards.

Department Overview: The Engines Department specializes in rebuilding and maintaining engine components, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Our team is dedicated to high-quality service, safety, and efficient workflow.

Roster: 5 On, 2 Off – 2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights - 10 hrs/day

 

 

What You’ll Do:

  • You will disassemble, inspect, and assemble engine components with precision and care.
  • Work in a collaborative, team environment with a strong focus on safety.
  • Bolster your experience with a reputable brand while maintaining a work-life balance.

 

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Australian-recognised Trade Certificate.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Good understanding of service reporting and service literature.
  • Heavy equipment product knowledge, with component change-out and overhaul experience (Desired)

  • Experience in completing rebuilds and overhauls on Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment.
