Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Plant Mechanic will assist in the rebuilding and repair of Large Engines. Your role will be disassembly, inspection and assembling of Engine components. 

 

Location: South Guildford

Roster: Monday to Friday, 2 Weeks Day Shift, 2 Weeks Night Shift Roster (10.50 hours per day)

 

To be successful the following is required: 

  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (Light Vehicle Mechanics, Heavy Duty Mechanics, Bus and Truck Mechanics)
  • Dogging and Forklift tickets are advantageous or willing to obtain 
  • Caterpillar Dealership experience is desirable or Significant Engine Rebuild experience.
  • Experience in component rebuilding is highly advantageous and will guide to success within this role 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Previous use of safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's
