What You’ll Do

We’re looking for a skilled  Mechanic to join our high‑performing Powertrain team in South Guildford.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you'll take pride in the disassembly, inspection, rebuild and assembly of major Caterpillar components, including:

  • Final drives
  • Differentials 
  • Front Corner Assemblies
  • Powertrain systems
  • Other large‑scale Cat® components

 Location & Roster

  • South Guildford
  • Monday to Friday
  • 2:2 Roster – 2 Weeks Days, 2 Weeks Nights (10.5 hr shifts)
    Night shift earns full penalties.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (LV, HD, Bus or Truck Mechanics)
  • Dogging & Forklift tickets (or willingness to obtain)
  • Previous Cat® or OEM experience (highly desirable)
  • Strong component rebuild experience (big advantage!)
  • Diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
  • Good communicator, strong team player
  • Confident working safely & autonomously
  • Experience with JHAs, Take 5s or similar safety tools
