Reporting into the Warehouse Supervisor – Inventory Control, the Store person, will join our Inventory Control team on a Permanent Fulltime basis at our Guildford location. This role supports the accurate processing of returned parts, customer credits and inventory transactions. You’ll play an important role in maintaining stock accuracy, resolving discrepancies and ensuring returns and credits are processed efficiently.

Department Overview: Parts Distribution Centre (PDC)Our 24/7 PDC holds 75K Cat® product lines, shipping 300K lines/month. We use the DEMATIC system for 18K+ small parts, and provide rack and yard storage, hose-building, parts inspection, pick-packing, and customer pickups with multiple WMS for accurate deliveries.

Roster: Monday to Friday, 6am to 3pm, 9 hours/ day (including meal break) every 4th Friday rostered off

What You’ll Do:

  • Assess returned parts in line with company return policies
  • Process customer and workshop credits accurately and on time
  • Complete inventory transactions using warehouse systems
  • Investigate stock, returns and credit discrepancies
  • Coordinate rejected returns and return consignments
  • Track returned inventory through inbound warehouse processes
  • Support cycle counts, stocktakes and inventory adjustments
  • Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation
  • Work closely with warehouse, workshop and other internal teams
  • Contribute to a safe, organised and continuously improving workplace

Skills & Experience:

  • Forklift Licence
  • High reach Experience
  • Previous warehousing, stores or inventory control experience
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on inventory accuracy
  • Confidence using warehouse and inventory management systems
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work across different teams
  • A proactive approach to safety, quality and customer service
