Reporting to the Standard Jobs Manager, the Standard Jobs Officer will be employed on a full-time basis at our South Guildford facility. This role involves applying your technical expertise in earthmoving equipment to support quoting activities for New Machine Sales and Repair Projects. You will be responsible for accurately estimating the resources required for pricing development, ensuring all outputs align with WesTrac’s Quality Assurance standards and operational procedures. The role also contributes to the continuous improvement of estimation practices and supports cross-functional collaboration to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.

 

Roster: Monday to Friday 8.5 hours (including meal breaks)

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Apply technical knowledge of earthmoving equipment to support quoting for new machine sales and repair projects.
  • Accurately estimate resources required for pricing development, including labour, parts, and tooling.
  • Ensure all pricing and documentation complies with WesTrac’s Quality Assurance policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather relevant data and ensure alignment.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimation practices and standard job development.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to standard jobs and pricing activities.
  • Support operational consistency by aligning estimates with current procedures and technical specifications.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Heavy Vehicle Trade Certificate Qualification or equivalent (Desired)
  • Experience in equipment, component, parts and service maintenance and cost
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
  • Advanced time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability manage multiple priorities to meet objectives
  • Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
  • In depth knowledge on Caterpillar products (Desired)
  • Previous use on WesTrac and Caterpillar systems such as SIS and DBS (Desired)
  • Advanced Computer Literacy skills - Microsoft Office & internet-based applications
