Reporting to the Standard Jobs Manager, the Standard Jobs Officer applies technical expertise in Caterpillar equipment and maintenance repairs. The role involves quoting and analysing current job costing, accurately estimating resources needed for pricing development, and ensuring compliance with WesTrac Quality Assurance policies. Additionally, the position provides support to the broader business in standard job estimation and procedures.

Location:  South Guildford, WA

Roster: Monday - Friday, 8.5-hour days

To be successful the following is required: 

• Experience in preparing estimates based on customer requirements
• Demonstrated analytical skills with ability to provide recommendations and action as required
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships with internal & external stakeholders
• Highly developed attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
• Advanced time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability manage multiple priorities to meet objectives
• Knowledge of and experience in utilising continuous improvement and lean principle methodologies
• Advanced computer literacy skills - MS Office, internet based applications

Desirable:

• In depth knowledge on Caterpillar products

• Previous use on WesTrac and Caterpillar systems such as Dealer Business System and Caterpillar Builder
• Heavy Vehicle Trade Certificate Qualification or equivalent experience with post qualification experience in equipment, component, parts and service maintenance and cost
