Parts Exchange Expeditor
Guildford PDC, WA, AU
Reporting to the Component Planning Supervisor, the Parts Exchange Expeditor plays a key role in ensuring new component orders move efficiently through the Component Rebuild Centre (CRC) and are prepared for sale in a timely and cost‑effective manner.
In this role, you will maintain clear visibility of each component order by coordinating effective scheduling in partnership with CRC Planners. You’ll also support the team by expediting critical backordered parts from Caterpillar, helping to keep operations running smoothly and customer commitments on track.
Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5 hours/day (including meal break)
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor customer backorder reports to identify overdue or delayed parts, reviewing airfreight options & providing recommendations to improve component availability.
- Manage Parts Exchange parts orders end‑to‑end via collaboration with the CRC Planners to ensure delivery dates are met, keeping key stakeholders informed of any changes.
- Analyse & expedite constrained parts from Caterpillar for critical CRC backorders to execute component rebuilds in time for customers’ requirements.
- Deliver accurate and timely customer service—via phone, email, or face‑to‑face—by interpreting customer needs and using specialised parts knowledge to identify required components.
- Adhere to WesTrac and Caterpillar procedures while providing regular weekly and monthly updates on backorder trends, constraints, and stock requirements.
Skills & Experience:
- Parts Sales and customer service experience
- Planning or Scheduling experience
- Caterpillar product knowledge, or relevant Mining product knowledge
- Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated numerical aptitude
- Advanced computer literacy skills – MS Office including knowledge of basic Excel formulas
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
- Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills to effectively resolve issues in the workplace
- Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
- Proven time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability manage multiple priorities to meet objectives

- Caterpillar systems knowledge (Antares / Order Tracking Vehicle)
