Mining Account Manager

Reporting to the Mining Business Manager, the Mining Account Manager will develop and maintain strong customer relationships while managing allocated customer accounts. The primary objectives include delivering valuable capital equipment and technology solutions, aftermarket support, maximizing market share, and providing the best customer experience in the industry.
This role is essential for achieving the company's sales and growth targets, with overall responsibility for the management of the allocated customer accounts. If you are a self-motivated, results-driven individual with strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiating skills, then this role could be for you!
Roster: Monday to Friday, 8.5 hours per day (Full Time Permanent)
Location: South Guildford, WA
What you’ll do:
- Holistic account management for our major account customers
- Contract administration activities
- Sales management
- Develop and execute sales strategies
- Coordinate and deliver equipment tenders and major pricing proposals
- Develop and maintain effective customer relationships
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, marketing, or a related field
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a sales or account management role, with exposure to capital equipment sales and managing large customer accounts
- Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation and management
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of how large commercial businesses operate
- Proven track record in high-value sales and customer strategy development
- Strong customer focus and relationship-building abilities
- Excellent presentation, communication, and time management skills
- Project management experience with complex deals and tenders
- Solid sales discipline and territory planning experience
- Caterpillar product knowledge or experience in the heavy equipment industry is a plus
