We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Forecasting Officer to join our Planning team on a permanent basis at our Parts Distribution Centre in South Guildford. Reporting to the Planning & Scheduling Manager, you will be responsible for delivering accurate medium and long-term forecasting, planning and reporting to support operational performance across the business.

Through analysis of parts, labour and component demand, you will provide valuable insights that help drive effective planning decisions, optimise resource utilisation and support customer outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain medium to long-term forecasts for parts, labour and component demand across the WA business.
  • Analyse forecasting data and trends to provide insights and recommendations that support operational planning and business performance.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and identify opportunities to improve planning, data quality and forecasting outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Parts, Service and Operations teams to ensure forecasting information is accurate, current and aligned to customer requirements.
  • Produce reporting and visibility tools that support decision-making and future demand planning.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a Planning, Scheduling or Forecasting role within a similar fast moving environment.
  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills and experience using business systems such as SAP, AMT or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.

 

Highly desirable but not a deal clencher

  • Experience with Caterpillar products, component lifecycle planning and equipment management processes.
  • Experience with data analytics and reporting tools, including Power BI or Python.
