Forecasting Officer - Fixed Term

Reporting into Planning & Scheduling Manager, the Forecasting Officer will join our Planning department at our South Guildford Location . This role involves being responsible for medium to long term forecasting and planning, ensuring full utilisation of the businesses forecasting systems with reporting to predict and plan for demand changes.
This position is a fixed-term twelve-month maternity leave cover. This will be seen as a development role and is open to all WesTrac applicants as a secondment regardless of your current role.
Roster: Monday – Friday 8.5 Hours a day including meal break
What You’ll Do:
- Accurately consolidate, interpret and provide recommendations to support parts, labour & component forecasting
- Measure, report on and track trends in customer forecast accuracy to understand true demand
- Work closely with internal / external stakeholders ensuring forecasting data is correctly entered
- Utilise forecasting information to provide reporting and operational visibility to Parts, Service and Marketing departments to support business activities
- Accurately forecast customer component requirements to meet demand requirements across the WA business
- Measure forecast demand and provide report models to the various business units, update customer component change outs, usage hours and customer/Caterpillar change out hour’s preferences to create a future indication of component usage
Skills & Experience:
- Experience within planning, scheduling or forecasting space – (desirable, not essential)
- Experience within Mining, Construction and supply chain – (desirable, not essential)
- Experience with data entry/ management and strong attention to detail
- Minimum intermediate Excel skills
- Great communication and presentation skills (written, verbal, interpersonal)
- Experience with building strong relationships across multiple teams and at all levels
- Advanced time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and priorities to meet objectives
- Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
